The ART Hotel Denver, brimming with unique curated artwork, creates an unforgettable art gallery hotel experience along with incredible Rocky Mountain and city views.
The ART Hotel Denver Gets a Big “WOW” From Me
Anyone who knows me knows that I love to say the word “wow” when I’m impressed by just about anything, especially a new travel destination and a cool hotel. Well, The ART Hotel Denver was a hotel experience that took my level of “wow” to unprecedented proportions starting with a magnificent 22,000-piece, LED light that demands attention as soon as you take a few steps into the hotel’s lobby. And that showstopping art is just the beginning of the impressiveness.
The ART Hotel Denver, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, is not just a luxurious Denver hotel with nice artwork on the walls that you’d see in any modern hotel. The hotel itself is designed like a piece of etched artwork and words cannot fully describe the level of creativity that the displayed art throughout the hotel features. It’s something that must be experienced in person.
Located Perfectly in the Denver Arts District
The ART Hotel Denver is nestled in the heart of Denver’s popular downtown Golden Triangle Creative District. The neighborhood is home to the most impressive museums and galleries in Denver including the Denver Art Museum, Clyfford Still Museum, and the Kirkland Museum of Fine and Decorative Art – within walking distance from the hotel.
The ART Hotel Denver takes the vibrant theme from the art district outside to the inside of the hotel with a large number of unique curated pieces of art from around the world, along with mountain and city views at every turn.
More Than Just a 165-Room Boutique Hotel
The architectural jagged diagonals in the facade of The ART Hotel Denver fits right into the artistic neighborhood but the inside of the hotel intentionally adds to the eclectic style. And while you may choose to stay at The ART Hotel because you love art, you will be pleasantly surprised at the beautiful, modern rooms and the delicious FIRE Restaurant as well. And if you think the art strategically placed around the hotel and in the Portico Gallery is beautiful, the hotel also provides spectacular mountain and city views through the many windows.
Every guest room floor hallway is decorated with hand-selected works of art. Each masterpiece demands your unique interpretation and experience, gallery-worthy works of art will “wow” your mind and enhance your stay. As for hotel amenities, there is a 24-hour fitness center and spa services are available by appointment. A 24-hour concierge service can help you plan your adventure in downtown Denver.

Dining and Drinks at The ART Hotel Denver
The hotel’s Fire Restaurant & Lounge serves American cuisine for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. As you would imagine, the restaurant is brimming with art including an eye-catching “fire” sculpture and fascinating chandeliers. The restaurant food is prepared with a farm-to-table approach, authentic and artistic culinary creations. There is also a lively happy hour with equally creative cocktails. The rooftop terrace and spacious outdoor terrace provide seasonal outdoor seating with downtown city skyline views of Denver.
Hotel guests can also enjoy the convenient, in-room dining service, placing food orders from the same menu as offered in the FIRE Restaurant.
Exploring Denver, the Mile High City
When you’re not admiring the hotel’s unique artwork, you’ll want to head outside of the hotel and enjoy downtown Denver. While there is much to do in Colorado, like snow activities and sporting events, there are a lot of art-related and other fun highlights nearby. As you’re walking, be sure to go see the Seal Fountain and Reflecting Pool, a bit of nature’s finest creations amidst the art-inspired neighborhood.
The Denver Art Museum, featuring more than 70,000 works of art, is right next door to the hotel as are a few Denver landmarks like the gold-domed Colorado State Capitol and the Civic Center Park. Within the Golden Triangle Creative District, you can visit the History Colorado Center (interactive museum), Clyfford Still Museum, Denver Public Library, and the Molly Brown House Museum. The Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA) boasts a whopping 27,000 square feet featuring five galleries, a library, a store, and a rooftop café.
If you’re a sports enthusiast, Coors Field stadium, where the Colorado Rockies baseball team plays, is less than two miles away. You can also plan to take a guided tour of Empower Field at Mile High where the Denver Broncos football team play. There you’ll explore the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame Museum that includes a very cool player’s-eye view of the end zone.
The Lower Downtown (LoDo) District features many bars, restaurants, and shops, along with the renovated Denver Union Station. The colorful River North (RiNo) Art District features art galleries, street art, murals, breweries and bars. As you’re walking downtown, you’ll discover the 16th Street Pedestrian Mall that runs from Market Street to Broadway, connecting the downtown highlights including the hotel’s area (Civic Center Park and the Colorado State Capitol) to Denver Union Station at the other end. If you like beer, you can follow the popular “Denver Beer Trail,” a lineup of locally owned craft breweries.
Traveler’s Hint: When visiting the Mile High City, visitors may experience altitude sickness (breathing issues) due to its high altitude of 5,280 feet. The thinner air means there is less oxygen available, which can lead to various respiratory challenges. So, take it slow until you get more use to the altitude.
Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre
And speaking of the high altitude in Denver, I must tell you about the most incredible experience of seeing a concert at the Red Rocks Amphitheater. Imagine sitting in an open-air, outdoor concert venue (April through November) that’s cut out in the mountain among dramatic rugged sandstone formations at an altitude of 6,450 feet.
Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre is located approximately ten miles southwest of Denver and offers 9,500+ seats for concerts and music festivals. The venue also features the Ship Rock Grille, a sit-down restaurant, along with the Trading Post souvenir store, and the Colorado Music Hall of Fame. If you’re up for a challenge, the Red Rocks Park area features two hiking and biking trails for a workout at 6,400 feet.
