If you love Christmas this is a must-visit destination. Any time of the year.
The Inn at Christmas Place, nestled in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee is an award-winning inn that celebrates Christmas every day of the year.
The Incredible Christmas Place store is located directly across the parkway from “The Inn.” That’s why the hotel is called “The Inn at Christmas Place.” In fact, you will see Christmas decorations featured in The Inn that you can purchase at the store across the way.
Christmas Magic Set Among the Mountains
The Inn at Christmas Place is a unique, festive hotel situated in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. This charming inn spreads holiday spirit all year round. Its storybook, picturesque Bavarian architecture makes for an adorable exterior amidst lush, landscaped gardens and ponds, with a mountain backdrop in the distance. It reminds me of an ornate gingerbread house or the house that Hansel and Gretel lived in.
The inn is meticulously decorated with Christmas-themed décor in just about every space you can see, providing a cozy atmosphere that immediately puts you in the Christmas spirit. The unique holiday environment plus hourly performances by a two-story glockenspiel, lobby fireplaces, unique amenities, and an impressive staff make for a memorable stay. In addition to Christmas-decorated guest rooms and suites, each floor’s hallway at the Inn is also decorated with a different Christmas theme. You will want to go up to each level to bask in the Christmas glow.
During your stay at The Inn at Christmas Place, you’ll enjoy many Christmas-themed activities to keep you and your family entertained. Or you can grab a cup of coffee and simply relax on a bench near the banks of the pond among the beautifully landscaped grounds, a peaceful oasis among colorful plants and trees.

Singing Santa Appearances
Since it opened in 2007, the “Singing Santa” has visited The Inn at Christmas Place throughout the year. Santa playing guitar and singing Christmas carols is an activity that guests adore, in addition to him reading books to the children. Santa performs a live concert on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday evenings at 8:05. Following his performance, hotel guests are invited to enjoy milk and cookies.
The Glockenspiel
The magical, two story high Glockenspiel clock makes for an enormous striking wall decoration, offering a uniquely special way to hear Christmas songs every hour. “Glockenspiel” is German for “play of bells.” European Beechwood from the Black Forest region of Germany and hand-cast bronze bells from the Verdin Company in Ohio have been crafted into a distinctive carillon and clock. It plays Christmas carols and strikes the time hourly from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm.
Complimentary Hot Breakfast
Every morning, there’s a complimentary hot breakfast for guests in a cozy dining area. Delicious, made-to-order omelets, scrambled eggs, assorted breakfast meats, biscuits and gravy, grits, breakfast potatoes, bagels, toast, pastries, donuts, fruits, cereal, yogurt, fruit juices, fresh hot coffee, and more. A few days per week, guests are treated to character visits like Rudolph or Frosty the Snowman, during breakfast.

Highly Recommended: Staying at the Inn Feels Like a Christmas Movie Setting
Everywhere you look around The Inn at Christmas Place – outdoors, indoors, the lobby, the guest rooms, you will see an enormous array of Christmas decorations. And I am not saying that decorations are simply everywhere. I am saying that the decorations are strategically placed with attention down to the last detail throughout the entire property. Looking around the lobby, I kept saying, “wow” at every display and especially appreciated the different Christmas themes featured along the hallway of every level of the inn.
Performances by a two-story glockenspiel, fireplaces in the lobby areas, outstanding amenities, and the super-friendly staff make The Inn at Christmas Place a destination to create new memories of Christmas whether you visit in the spring, summer, fall, or winter. The young and the “young at heart” find such joy watching a real-life Santa make his appearance singing and reading books.
The only way to describe the staff at The Inn at Christmas Place is incredibly accommodating and friendly. They treat everyone as if they were all family members visiting for the holidays. Of course, the free cookie and hot apple cider in the evenings were also special treats as well. And the daily complimentary breakfast with omelet bar was a delicious perk.
Our guest room was meticulously clean and comfortable, but it was also beautifully decorated with festive bedding and decorative pillows. We even had our very own Christmas tree to enjoy throughout our 3-night stay. An impressive and personal touch.
