Hilton Phoenix Resort at the Peak

Comfortable Room And Awesome Water Park

Best Family Vacation Ever!!!

We had so much fun at this hotel! When you’re from the Northeast and you’re dealing with snow in the forecast, or icy rain, or just miserable single digit days all in a row, it really brings you down.

Now, add the thought of staying home with the kids during Winter break…and you’ve got a recipe for a nightmare.

So, imagine how excited I was when my husband came home and said he had a surprise for us: he booked us a week at the Hilton Phoenix Resort at the Peak!

I was excited but skeptical after reading some of the hotel’s reviews. Everybody says the pools are awesome but the rooms…were a little dated. The rooms may have been a little dated, but the experience was a blast!

My tween-aged daughter and my two young boys could not wait to try the 3 heated pools, and my husband and I were right there with them. It’s not like your normal water park: the Peak is set in a rustic preserve, so it’s beautiful and tranquil. Even when the kids are whooping it up, you could still relax and enjoy the sun warming you from your head to your toes as you made your way down the lazy river.

Hungry? There’s a great little snack bar near the main pool where you can get something delicious to satisfy those salty or sweet cravings – and then jump right back in and have more fun!

When my kids were waterlogged and exhausted, we ran back to our clean and comfortable suite. What a delight that there were enough beds and even a pull-out couch to relax on!

The week went by like a dream: the kids had a blast every day, whether they were splashing in the wave pool, trying the big slides, or playing on the mini golf course.  On our last day there, my husband surprised me by booking a massage and a facial at the spa so I could relax while he played with the kids at the water park.

The staff went out of their way to make our stay fun and special. They were super helpful driving us around in golf carts when we needed to get from one end of the resort to another, suggested places to eat, and even got us fresh towels when we needed them (you can never have enough with 3 kids).

The food was awesome too – Aunt Chilada’s for the win! I don’t think I ever saw my kids so happy at a restaurant. Plus, the staff helped us sing happy birthday to our daughter, who turned 12 while we were there. Her smile was priceless!

When I mentioned this concern at the front desk, they said they’re planning to renovate and remodel soon. (And yes, we will be back!)

If you’ve got kids and are longing for a great family vacation, the Hilton Phoenix At The Peak is the place to go! Make some great memories and enjoy lots of family fun – all with help of a great staff (you won’t regret it!).
