The Arabella Hotel Sedona:

Your Retreat To Relaxation And Exploration

There are places you visit that transform your mindset and lift your spirit. That’s exactly how I felt when I arrived at the Arabella Hotel Sedona in Arizona’s Red Rock County.

From the moment I stepped through the doors, I knew I was about to experience something truly special. The laid-back vibe, positive energy, breathtaking views of the Red Rocks, inviting amenities, and an atmosphere that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a serene desert oasis, this place blew me away.

A Room with a View (or Should I Say, Views)

Let me start with the room, wow. I had no idea that Sedona’s red rocks could look even more incredible from the comfort of my own private balcony.

I was fortunate enough to stay in a room with a direct view of the iconic red rock formations, and every time I stepped outside, I felt like I was in a living painting. There’s something magical about watching the colors change as the sun sets.

The room itself had a nice setup with stunning views. The balcony had a cute and comfy Honeycomb Chair, perfect for lounging while admiring the Red Rocks. The bedding was plush, there were plenty of USB charging stations, a small fridge, Keurig coffee maker, a hairdryer with complimentary toiletries, and free wifi for Netflix streaming. I was surprised at how spacious the room was for this price.

Direct Access To Hiking Trails

One of the best things about staying at Arabella Hotel Sedona is direct access to hiking trails right from the property.

I woke up early one morning, grabbed my gear, and set off on Marg’s Draw Trail. The views were absolutely stunning. The trail doesn’t climb above the city but instead brings you face-to-face with the magnificent red rock formations, which you look up to as you walk.

I went around 6 a.m., when it was cool, and I had the entire trail to myself. It felt magical to have this incredible scenery all to myself in the peace and quiet of the early morning. It was the perfect time for some reflection, and I couldn’t help but feel awestruck by the beauty that surrounded me.

If you’re the adventurous type (like me), you can connect to the Broken Arrow and Schnebly Hill trails for more rugged paths and even better views.

An Amazing Breakfast To Start The Day …

Every morning, there’s a hot breakfast buffet with a variety of options including healthy choices and gluten-free. My friend, who has a gluten allergy, was thrilled to find plenty of options. It really makes a world of difference when you’re not scrambling to find food you can actually enjoy. Arabella Hotel Sedona really thought about everyone’s needs, and that was a big win in our book.

Relaxation at Its Best

Relaxation is at the core of Arabella Hotel Sedona’s mission. There is plenty of outdoor space to take in the fresh air and serene energy.

Indulge in the heated outdoor pool, surrounded by lush gardens and towering red rock formations. I saw quite a few people doing yoga and meditating in the gardens. I spent most evenings unwinding in the hot tub after a hike, chatting with other guests and enjoying the starlit desert sky at night. And if stargazing is your thing, you can sign up for a “sip and gaze” where you’ll be guided through a tour of the celestial sky, while sipping local wines.

After a full day of activities, I just want to chill by the fire and drink some vino – and the Arabella Hotel Sedona had me covered. On Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday evenings, the boutique hotel hosted live music in the courtyard. This was actually a highlight on my trip. I checked this event out my first night there and loved the laid-back vibe. They serve local beer and wine while you relax and partake in the music. My group and I sat around the fireplace tables, and it was the perfect way to kick-back after a day of traveling.

Pet-Friendly Perks and Puppy Love

Another bonus – Arabella Hotel Sedona is pet-friendly.Rest-assured your dog will be treated like a VIP. When we checked in, my pup was greeted with free pet treats, a water bottle refill, and even a complimentary belly rub. My dog was over the moon! And when your furbaby needs to stretch his legs, he can romp around the spacious dog park on premises. They also have a fun Pet Visitors Board in the lobby, where you can add your pet’s name, which was cute. Pet accommodations was not free though, there was a $27 per night pet fee, BUT part of that free went to a local Humane Society, which I appreciated. It’s a great way to support the community while making sure your four-legged friend is well taken care of and properly pampered.

Sedona’s Charm and Creative Vibe, A Celebrity Favorite

It’s no wonder Sedona has drawn so many famous faces over the years, like Oprah Winfrey, Johnny Depp, John Travolta, U2, Jon Mayer, Lucille Ball, and Shirley MacLaine. The energy in this place is unlike anywhere else. Whether it’s the stunning landscapes, the spiritual vibes, creative muses, or just the need to disconnect, Sedona offers something for everyone. The Arabella Hotel Sedona was the perfect place to experience it all.

And, a fun fact: When you’re lounging poolside, you can thank Elivis Presley for the hotel’s 9-foot deep courtyard pool. The story goes that Elvis wanted a diving pool when he visited to film a movie, so the pool was built at his request!

Not Just A Hotel, A Beacon Of Exploration

If you’re planning a trip to Sedona, whether for the spiritual energy, the stunning natural beauty, or just a well-deserved getaway, I recommend staying at the Arabella Hotel Sedona. From the amazing red rock views to the incredible on-premise hiking trails, live music, pet-friendly accommodations, and laid-back ambiance, it’s the kind of place that lifts your spirits!
